Phenomenal Woman Spotlight! Dr. Alexcius Branch

A woman of style and business savvy, Dr. Branch embodies the true definition of "A Phenomenal Woman". From the military to the corporate arena, Dr. Branch achieves goals she sets. She holds the title of Public Speaker, Community Advocate, Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, Brand Ambassador and the list goes on as Dr. Branch isn’t finished adding to her repertoire. 

Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Dr. Branch’s back story is remarkable, one of perseverance and strength. Despite all odds stacked against her, she pushed through trials and tribulations faced throughout childhood: daughter of a drug-addicted mother and unknown father, loss of her younger brother to a house fire at the age of 4 when she was 8, incarceration of her two older brothers, and becoming a mother of two children by age of 19. While these tough life obstacles could be a roadblock for some, Dr. Branch's determined spirit is a true testament that all things are indeed possible when you decide to take charge of your own destiny.

On a mission to succeed and be an example of success for her children, Dr. Branch followed her childhood aspiration of becoming a military officer, and enlisted into the U.S. Army after the birth of her second child. This was just the beginning for Dr. Branch, as she went on to add several noteworthy accomplishments to her resume: Sergeant & 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army earning awards and badges along the way, as well as titles of first black female Class President of the Army Officer Candidate school and the first black female Executive Officer of the Fort Campbell Air Assault Academy. 

After serving her country, Dr. Branch went on the climb the corporate ladder. She held several managerial and executive positions including PMO Director and Brand Manager for global and Fortune 500 companies such as Ford Motor Company, Microsoft and many others. Aside from managing well-known brands, Dr. Branch has formed businesses, rescued failing organizations, increased market share, negotiated billion dollar contracts, and spoke before crowds of 2500+. Dr. Branch is also a member of Cambridge Who's Who Among Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs and a National Scholars Honor Society inductee and serves as an Associate Dean and Adjunct Professor of Business for Belhaven and Strayer University.

Giving back to the community is a cause Dr. Branch holds dear to heart. She is Founder and Executive Director of the Dr. Branch Foundation, a non-profit organization that empowers under-served students through education in the form of scholarships; she is also active in various charity initiatives. Dr. Branch holds a Doctorate of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Walden University (4.0 GPA), a Master of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management (4.0 GPA) from Strayer University, and is a Summa Cum Laude (3.9 GPA) graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Excelsior College. Dr. Branch is a women's diversity champion and published author in the field. Her research entitled a Phenomenological Examination of Experiences of Black Women Executives in Corporate America was published in 2012.

Dr. Branch Currently resides in Atlanta, GA and works as one of the top retirement and wealth building agents in State Farm. She is the owner and CEO of the Dr. Branch State Farm Insurance and Financial Services Agency where she assists clients with managing the risks of everyday life, recovering from the unexpected, and realizing their dreams. She is a subject matter expert on asset protection, individual and business retirement planning, generating life-time income, and utilizing life insurance to transfer wealth.

We salute Dr. Branch's many commendable accomplishments; she is most worthy of the Phenomenal Woman Spotlight.

Hello! Very impressive and it rings true for a young lady that I worked with at Schneider National in West Memphis, AR. Very ambitious & beautiful as yourself.. just curious, did you work at Schneider Dr. Branch?
